Delete or Remove the HPLIP Binary Plugin

If you would like to determine if your printer needs the binary plugin you can view the list. Afterwards, if you wish to remove the HPLIP Binary Plugin you can follow these simple steps:

1.  Launch a command-line window.
2.  Change to super user with "su" or "sudo" depending on your distro and enter:

rm -rf /usr/share/hplip/data/firmware/*

rm -rf /usr/share/hplip/data/plugins/*

rm -rf /usr/share/hplip/prnt/plugins/*

Then if you would like to re-install the plugins, you can go here and follow the directions.
