Required Steps:
A package (RPM) has been developed to assist customers in gettiing HP printing set up on the Acer Aspire One Netbook. For instructions on downloading and setting up HPLIP from this RPM, go to: http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/distros/linpus.html

check for the little orange light on the front right hand side of the aspire. if there isnt one, push the switch towards your right hand side, that should switch on the wireless LAN card. Once that is done, go to "preferences" or "settings" whichever shows on your system just below the 'files' box and select "network center." Click 'New' on the right hand side and select 'WLAN' radio button. click next and just below access point, click 'select'. you will then be able to scan for your router. once found, complete the process by entering any wep/wpa keys you may have. Good luck.
HP printing on the Acer Aspire One
The installation instructions worked fine on my Linpus Aspire One.
Though I had to change some points in the procedure.
First I had to install cupsddk-devel (yum install cupsddk-devel).
Then I had to remove the ibsane-hpaio, hplips, hpijs AFTER having installed xsane.
Finally everything was right and easy.
